QUASIMODO VAN DE MOLENDREEF

Quasimodo has an impressive sports career behind him. He was internationally successful under David Jobertie and Jaime Azcarraga. He jumped at Grand Prix level and placed several times. Unfortunately, Quasimodo was forced to end his jumping career early due to an injury.

His sire, Heartbreaker, and damsire, Lys de Darmen, were successful as international show jumping stallions and sires to many international jumpers.

His full brother, Action Breaker, is approved by the BWP. He placed third in the 2010 Grand Prix in Aachen, with Sergio Alvarez Moya. He also came in 11th place at the World Championships in Kentucky.

Quasimodo’s first offspring broke through to Grand Prix level, such Unari van de Wolfsakker with Pilar Cordon, Bellano van de Bosbeek with Victor Kumps and recently with Peter Wylde, and Carat with Mark and John Ehning. Sanctos van de Gravenhof, who was trained by Peter Wylde, recently won the World Cup in Wellington under Scott Brash.

At the London Olympic Games, Quasimodo was represented by two of his descendants: Hello Sanctos, under rider Scott Brash, won the Team Gold Medal and finished fifth individually; whilst Comte d'Arsouilles competed with his rider Alexander Onishenko. Comte d'Arsouilles won the Nations Cup in Drammen and Linz in 2012. Hello Sanctos had similar success when he won the World Cup qualification in Wellington, came fourth in the World Cup qualifications in Helsinki and fifth in Oslo.

Quasimodo van de Molendreef is known as the Father of Olympians.
